1. Core Philosophy: AI as an Optical Instrument
At Look Unlock, we believe generative AI is not a gimmick or an automated decision-maker; it is a precision optical instrument. Our models are built to assist human shoppers in visualizing occasion wear and to provide retail boutiques with empirical telemetry on customer garment interest.
2. What Our Models Do and Do Not Do
What the Models Do
- Extract garment silhouettes, neckline cuts, and textile textures from catalog photography.
- Composite chosen apparel onto a customer silhouette using targeted diffusion inference.
- Provide descriptive textile tagging (e.g., fabric weight, drape character, embroidery tone).
What the Models Never Do
- Never perform biometric facial recognition or identify individuals across store visits.
- Never calculate dynamic pricing or alter prices based on personal user attributes.
- Never fabricate demand metrics — all boutique telemetry is mathematically deterministic.
3. Model Training & Data Consent
We enforce a strict policy on customer photography: customer try-on photos are never used to train foundational AI models without explicit, written opt-in consent. Photos are held exclusively for the active fitting session and purged automatically within 7 days.
4. Human Oversight & Boutique Autonomy
Every analytics figure presented to boutique owners in the Seller Intelligence Console is computed through strict, verifiable aggregations of anonymized events. AI models do not make automated inventory orders or employee decisions. Store managers retain sole authority over purchasing, pricing, and customer relations.
5. Technical Limitations of Virtual Try-On
While Look Unlock employs cutting-edge diffusion synthesis, generated imagery contains inherent technological limitations:
- Fabric Dynamics: Heavy silks, structured can-can skirts, and stiff zari borders drape uniquely to each posture. Generative previews approximate aesthetic fit but cannot simulate physical textile weight or tactile friction.
- Lighting Variation: Variations between in-store showroom lighting and photograph exposure may subtly shift rendered color tones.
- Tailoring & Sizing: Previews do not replace bespoke measurements for altered blouses, lehenga waistbands, or tailored sherwanis.
